In light of the various news articles coming out about Silvio Berlusconi and his attitude towards women, I felt compelled to look into how Italy as a country has fared in their treatment of women. Somedays I miss Italy so much that it makes my heart ache. I miss hearing Italian all the time. I miss drinking the perfect cappuccinos. I miss how Rome smells like jasmine this time of year. I miss how even the rain smells wonderful. I miss seeing Castel Sant'Angelo on my walk home from school everyday. I miss the grape trees in Calabria. I miss the sea in Sicily. I miss eating blood oranges. I miss real pizza. I miss the people.

I miss my home.
