A couple weeks ago, NPR had a really moving story about the domestic violence murder of Leidy Bonanno. Her mother, poet Kathleen Sheeder Bonanno, has just published a book of poems about her daughter's murder, titled "Slamming Open the Door."
On July 7 in 2003, Leidy Bonanno (21-years-old) was found dead in her apartment in Pennsylvania, strangled with a telephone cord by her ex-boyfriend, Joseph Eaddy. She had recently graduated from nursing school.
